Farewell dinner.

Last night, my family and I went to D'Fortune at Taipan for a farewell dinner dedicated to Pastor Ruth. We had a great time fellowshipping with one another throughout the entire dinner.

While waiting for the food to arrive. Take one.
Take two.
First up was this so-called shrimp cocktail.
We were given the option to choose our soups. Sarah's order, wild mushroom soup.
The oxtail soup. Didn't manage to capture the onion and tomyam soup though.
Escargots. =)
Chicken chop.

Lamb chop.

Seafood spaghetti.

That's Mojojojo in the white top.

The tables were lined up like super long man.

I told you so.

I guess I'll have to sum it up by saying that everyone enjoyed themselves especially chit-chatting. We were there for about 4 hours and even after settling the bill (the boss wanted to close shop already), the adults could not stop yakking so we all proceeded outside to continue chatting.

My friend who saw me there asked if it was some kinda family dinner. Although not actually related, I can confidently say that we're definitely united as one in Christ. This is what I call my family in Christ.

Phobias.

Was just reading Reader's Digest a couple of minutes ago when something caught my eye.

It showed a list of some of the most bizzare phobias and I thought I should share this with you guys cos it's pretty funny.

Lutraphobia: the fear of otters
Nucleomituphobia: the abnormal fear or hatred of nuclear weapons
Odontophobia: the fear of dental work (I think Jeremy has this, he told me he's afraid of going to the dental clinic hahaha)
Octophobia: the fear of the figure eight (I'm 100% sure the Chinese won't have this phobia)
Globophobia: the fear of balloons (Quite embarrassing, but I think I have this one)
Ablutophobia: the fear of bathing (HAHAHA. Eeew, whoever suffers from this must stink real bad)
Rhytiphobia: the fear of wrinkles (Tell me who doesn't fear this)
Telephonophobia: the fear of telephones
Pupaphobia: the fear of puppets
Pentheraphobia: the fear of your mother-in-law (LOL. This is so hilarious!)

Since I'm at this, I googled for more list of phobias and here's some funny ones:

Cacophobia- Fear of ugliness
Coulrophobia- Fear of clowns (Used to have it)
Dentophobia- Fear of dentists (Here's another one for Jeremy =p)
Eisoptrophobia- Fear of mirrors or of seeing oneself in a mirror (My friends know mirrors are my best friend. Haha)
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words
Ithyphallophobia- Fear of seeing, thinking about or having an erect penis

So what's your phobia? =)

Dreams...

You know what they say about dreams. It's very unpredictable. Duh, that's why they are called dreams.

Last night I dreamt an awfully weird one. It was about someone I personally don't know getting possessed and I was crying because she looked so helpless in that state. I wanted to help her so much but I couldn't.

It's definitely one of the weirdest dreams I've had before.

Could it mean something? I really don't know. Does anybody know how to interpret this? Lol.

Be sure to catch this show together with me so we can talk about it when we meet up! Hahah.

Till then, gotta have my dinner now. Mom's yelling. Bye!

Skype!

Heelllloooooo! (Must read with the Florence's style. Only the privileged will understand what I mean)

So anyway, since three of my dearest cousins have left the country to further their studies, my dad figured it will be best if we downloaded Skype to keep in touch.

Heheh, and so he bought a webcam with a built-in microphone just last night (We had a webcam previously but it was extremely blur. To sum it up, it was a 'lao yah' one la. He got conned. Paid so much somemore!) and I'm so jakun to try it out cos I have yet to see my cousins online.

Anyone wanna ber-skype with me? =) =)

Clumsy.

First and foremost, thank you to all of you who commented on the previous entry. Heheh, I'm really flattered. Reading those comments made me smile and blush. THANK YOU! =)

Hmm. There is nothing interesting going on lately. Unless you consider myself getting a huge scratch on my upper eyelid interesting.

I can seriously win an award for being the clumsiest person in the universe.

I was at cheerleading practice yesterday and we were rehearsing for a show. So placards were needed and I was holding one of it. When it was my turn to raise the placard, I smacked myself in the eye with the placard causing a huge scratch across the eyelid until it bled. The mark was quite bad because my mom thought someone beat me up, to which I sarcastically replied 'Yes, I got into a cat fight'. I hope it doesn't turn into a scar! Tell me who does such stupid mistake!

Oh right, me.

Somemore tonight is performance night. =(

Cheng Choo was telling me how much she still loves me even with that scratch. Thank you ah..how 'comforting'. Hahah.

Clumsy action no.2 : I accidentally dialed the USJ police station number cos my keypad wasn't locked and the number was my stored into my speed dial. The police was so efficient he didn't wanna hang up even after a minute and a half until I realized I had made an accident call so I hurriedly pressed the end call button with panicky fingers. Sigh. Time to get a new phone!

What I've promised.

Do you remember this?

I am a woman of my words. Hahah. Therefore, here's the video as promised.

Watch at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for any bleeding ears. Lol.
'I already gave my best, and I have no regrets at all ..and uh, I have no professional training.' Heheh.

This song is called 'Heart Of Worship'. Enjoy...! Or rather beware! =)

Dinner at TR's.

All you KPC's (ke poh chis..heheh) must be thinking how I celebrated my special day. A day which marks yet another year closer to stepping into adulthood. A couple of my friends have asked 'What does it feel like to not be a teen anymore?' Honestly speaking, I don't feel anything. Crazy meh. You think once it's your birthday, you instantly feel a change in you ah. Of course I do feel like I'm getting more wrinkles by the day, my back aches easily and I do not seem to be as hyperactive as before. Haha.

Anyway, this year's celebration was a quiet and very simple one. Just among my family members. Dad brought us out to Pyramid's Tony Roma's. Sister came back all the way from Sg. Long using the KTM so I had to pick her up from the Subang station in the afternoon. The things she would do for good food. Hahah

Okay, fast forward to dinner time. We knew that the portions would be quite big for a person so we shared. Here's what we ordered..
My boneless beef ribs + grilled shrimps.
Some shrimp pasta.
Some burger.
Grilled rosemary chicken.
Dad's order.Ooh..this drink 'Tropical Orange Freeze' is not bad. It says in the menu it's frozen pina colada with a tinge of orange in it. =)

My mum being a kiasu that she is, called the waitress and asked her if there's any special promotions for the birthday girl. The waitress politely nodded and pointed out to her the free dessert I'd be getting from the menu. Then she asked if we wanted them to sing me a song.

I instantly said "No!". My dad also said 'No need lah..'

On the other hand, my siblings and mum said "Yes yes please.."

This is after she brought out the Chocolate Avalanche and went back to get her 'pang yaos' to sing for me. I had to sit and stare at the candle while she was away. Bear in mind she had me waiting for quite long. Lol.

I kept complaining to my mum. However, this time my dad was not on my side anymore.

Eh mummy no need lah. Tell them don't come.
Nevermind, just wait.
Yor, you ah. I don't want lah. Ask them not to come. All this is for LOA people only.
You memang lack of attention ma.
-_____-''

After awhile, she finally came out with her bunch of friends. One of them asked me for my name before starting to sing.

Hi, may I know what's your name?
Florence.
Prolence?
Florence.

Then they started singing in a very flat tone unanimously 'Happy Birthday to Prolenceeeee...'

This is me laughing uncontrollably.

And trying very hard not to be rude.

Hahah, why must I always have funny encounters with foreigners?

Yay, can finally blow off the candle!

The free Chocolate Avalanche which costs RM12.90. Hehe.

The siblings and our kakak. Why does my dad look so miang. Hahah.

That's pretty much about it. We were so stuffed that night until we couldn't eat the cake later at night. So my family members just sang another round of the birthday song with the proper pronunciation this time. Hehe. No pics of me cutting cake or blowing candles cos I don't like.

Lastly, thank you to all of you who sent me sweet messages that day wishing me be it through MSN, Facebook, Friendster or text messages. Thanks! =)

P.S Fiona & Sarah, I'm still waiting for my present. Don't think you all can get away with it =p

Relieved.

I am relieved now that everything is over. Not settled but over. At least the truth has come out albeit the sense of guilt is non-existent. Pissed? Yes. But seriously, whatever man. I have nothing to do with 'this' anymore and I am extremely glad. I am also positive many others feel the same way.

I'm sorry to those of you who do not understand what I just said.
Still, maklumlah siapa makan cili, dia yang terasa pedasnya.

Moving on to a happier note, I think I might be going to watch the High School Musical ice tour this Friday for FOC. =p
Don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan, but just go only lah. Okay, I lied. I've watched both the HSM...but that still doesn't make me a fan. Heheh. I mean who doesn't like free stuff right?

Hahah, I hope this show isn't too young for me since I am hitting the big two-oh soon. Next thing I do not want to see is myself being surrounded by a bunch of kids or tweens singing along to every tune.
