Konnichiwa Japan!

Okay, I know you all have been dying to know about my trip! Heheh.

So here's an update. I'm gonna blog this entry in my China trip style, eg. Day One, Two, Three because I've got a truck load of pictures and I have Picasa-fied them pics to make my life a whole lot easier. :)

If you all hadn't already noticed in the earlier post, my parents were drivers of the day because they 'escorted' 5 of us to the airport. We left home around 3something pm and had a slight problem fitting all the luggages in the boot. (I definitely over-packed, whoops)

From left to right: ChengChoo, Sebastian, Me, SiewWai, JunKang

Reached the airport, went through all the neccessary processes like checking in our luggages and making sure we get good seats.
Hahah. StephT is posing for the camera in the background.

Waiting/killing time at the boarding area.
The smiles explains the excitement in everyone..well, except Charm Man who is erm, pretending to be asleep.

Landed in Singapore after 45minutes or so on the airplane.
Jakun-ed at the super clean toilet for awhile. By that, I actually meant emptying my bladder lah.
Because we had 3 hours of free time in the airport, everyone splitted up to do whatever they wanted. Most of us walked around the shops to keh-poh, tried the free Bak Kua samples and had dinner at BK's. We were so sick of burgers after that man.
Three hours later we boarded the plane.

Wah!! Got mirror some more! Can check whether got any food stuck in between my teeth or not. Heheh. Trust me, the mirror is very useful for vainpots like me.

We had an option to choose between the Japanese meal or the International meal. I opted for the Japanese one and it turned out like the picture above. Grilled Mackerel fish with omelette. I did not fancy it that much.

Approximately 6 hours-7hours and one Definitely, Maybe movie later, we finally landed! The weather was chilly like Genting Highlands, me likey! As soon as we landed, everyone made their way to the phone booth to call home and expressed their 'I'm Safe' lines. Well, almost everyone except me. Hahah.
The girl in the fourth picture with the tag hanging around her neck is our liaison officer who is really pretty because she has such big eyes. Her name is Nao, and she's so sweet when she talks :)unlike most Japanese who talks quite roughly. Let's just say we didn't really set a good first impression to her because we were too tired when we were greeted by her in the airport. Hahah.

Got onto the bus and headed straight to where we will call 'home' for the next 3 nights. The journey took us about an hour? (not sure cos I fell asleep) As far as I remembered, it was pretty far.

This is our 'home' called the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center or NYC for short.
That place is very huge and we were placed in Building D where we shared the same building as the other international teams.
The view from my room.

The bathroom looks like this.

We are supposed to all share the same shower room so if you're really open-minded you can get in there butt naked and have an all-girls shower party or something. Obviously, our minds were not that opened so we rather wait for our turns to shower. However, this wasn't the same case for the Chinese Taipei boys. I heard they all bathed together and one of my friend was even invited to join in their 'party' . Heheh.

Picture 1 and 2 shows the lounging area whereas Picture 3 and 4 captures my extremly small but comfortable bedroom. Everybody had a room to themselves but two of my friends got scared so they shared this extremely small room and left the other vacant for the whole 3 nights! Haha. I wanted to do the same because I thought I would get scared too but in the end I was too tired to even get scared so I just plonked myself onto the bed at night.

After settling down and leaving our luggages in our respective rooms, we headed downstairs to take a short stroll to the cafeteria for lunch.

We had to insert our money into that machine to get our lunch ticket and then choose whatever we wanted to eat ranging from beef rice to udon noodles. Lunch was about 550yen=RM17.

After eating, we went back to our rooms to just chill and unpacked some more and killed more time until it was time for us to get to the Yoyogi Gymnasium Stadium for our rehearsal. Unfortunately, I was told we were gonna walk there. Worse still, the walk would take up to half an hour. OMG.

These Japanese puts cleanliness at the top of their priority list. Upon reaching the stadium, we were instructed to change to our cheer shoes which should only be worn indoors.

After the rehearsal, we were to change back to our outdoor shoes. Lol.

Soon after that, we walked the streets of Japan (hahah, I'm a noob in remembering the name of the streets). Okay, if I'm not mistaken I think it's Harajuku Street. Anyway, we went there to look for dinner.

Someone suggested we go our own ways to find whatever we wanted to eat but then everybody was so united they decided on Ramen noodles in the end. Haha.

The restaurant was a cosy, little restaurant where the whole floor were taken up by us cheerleaders and I'm glad about that because the first picture shows us toasting and yelling 'Charmmmmm Seng'. Besides that, they also purposely slurped their noodles up loudly. Thank God there were nobody else watching apart from the waiters. Heheh. Oh by the way, my noodles cost me 750yen which is equivalent to RM 23.

Later, we walked some more to just look around at those little interesting shops which will make you go 'ooohh, aaahhh'.

I know I went 'yerrr' when we stopped by this shop. Please note that I only say 'yerrr' when I see cute stuffs/disgusting things. I'm that weird. Haha.

I see...pink handphones! Lots of 'em. Colourful handphones. And they're so cheap! Like around RM60 only. Some say it's disposable. I don't know about that. All I know is that we cannot buy it back :(

We then decided we could walk no more because it's just insane if we were to walk all the way back. So, we took the smarter option to take a train back! Why didn't we think about that earlier, right? Hmph. The train ticket cost us 230yen which is about RM7 and it only takes about two stops to get back to NYC. In comparison, we can take the KTM to KL Sentral for only RM1.60 here. Everything over there is so overpriced.

That's Nao teaching SiewWai the noob. Hahah. Nolah, all of us were noobs because it was all written in Japanese.

So, that wraps up Day One in Japan. FYI, Japan is one hour ahead of us. I remember going to bed at 10pm Japan time that night which makes it 9pm Malaysian time! Omg. The last time I went to bed at 9pm was way back when I was in Standard 1.

Hello from Singapore.

Hey all!

I'm currently blogging from Changi Airport, yet again. Last time I did this was during my China trip. Haha..It's so funny. There were already a few funny/jakun incidents on the way here (we've already started using the back up plan) and we haven't even reached Japan yet. Can't imagine what will happen when we're there.

My next flight will be at 11.40 pm and I'm really excited. Hehe.

Can't wait to get there and taste the authentic sushis, sashimi etc!

Mum, Dad and my younger sister sent 4 of my friends and I to the airport just now. Mum was really funny cos she was so worried about everything it was as if she is the one travelling. Her 'kan-cheongness' was so obvious it made another parent ask, "Is this your first time your daughter is travelling?" Lol.
But still ,thanks mummy and daddy for taking time off to send me. =)

Oh and I've actually done the video I was talking about but it's always not perfect cos I would make some error every single time so I got really frustrated and decided to give up. Hahaha.

So, I guess this is it. 5 months of hard work practising the routine and getting all the injuries has come to an end. It's the time we've all been waiting for. I just can't state how excited I am, really.

The rest of my team mates are all around the airport loitering. Some went window shopping, others chillling at Burger King while 2 of my friends and I are here taking advantage of the free Internet service after our very filling dinner at BK's! Hope I won't puke later. Hahaha. Oh, and I wanna watch Definitely, Maybe later during my flight. Hehe.

Okay, time is almost up. Don't miss me too much okay. Lol. And don't expect souvenirs! Hahah.

I'm feeling very Paris-y at the moment, don't ask why.

Till then, hugs and kisses to all! Muax! =) Bring on the Jap hunks! LoL.

Breathe Florence breathe.

I'm in a state of panic now.

I just figured I cannot find my passport..and I'm flying this Thursday. I am damn sure it's lying somewhere in my house, just not sure where is it. So somehow I kinda 'lost' it but didn't really lose it. And my house isn't big, it's just messy that's why! I meant my room. I was looking for it just now but to no avail.

Omg, I'm stressed like crap!!! Can vomit blood. I felt my head spinning while I was searching for it just now. I haven't started packing and I dunno why the heck I still have time to blog. Maybe it's because I'm still in the office! ARGH.

I shall tell the boss I wanna quit today.

To those of you who still do not know, I will be flying to Japan to compete in a cheerleading competition. It's the 2nd Asian Cheerleading Championship this year.

Oh by the way, I'm really flattered that there are people who wanna hear me sing! Ahahah! There's only one person who is not willing to go through that painful process and I knew it instantly who clicked that "No" option when I viewed the results. Guesses anyone?
Lol. It's obviously her lah, FIONA. Who else can it be right?

I promise you all to do a video soon but not at this moment because:

1. I'm busy searching for my passport!

2. I'm busy packing on what or what not to bring.

3. My voice sounds like crap now because I've been cheering like 24/7 so I'm losing my voice. (Don't say it always sounds like crap ar, I shall prove you wrong!)

There are so manyyyyyyyyyy things running through my mind now I feel dizzy just thinking about everything!

Please keep me in your prayers people. I need all the protection and strength I can get from our Lord.

Till then, I'm really looking forward to this trip. What more this being the first time for me competing internationally with my second family, the Charm All-Stars. =) I'm sure it will be a heck of an experience for the first-timers like myself and a few others. We were already warned to behave ourselves and not act like a jakun while we're there although we do have a back up plan if we were caught being jakun. Hahah.

Okay, now it's time to get stressed again about finding my passport or else I'll just faint on the spot if I don't find it I tell you. (Oh, if any of my team mates are reading this, dun worry I'll find it=p)

Edit: I went back for lunch today and tried searching for it again. My maid coolly asked me to get downstairs to have lunch but I didn't want to cos I had to look for my passport. Then, I knew something was wrong when my maid insisted that I have my lunch and told me not to worry about it. I asked my younger sister if she has seen it and she said no.

I was so freaking pissed when I found out that my sister actually knew where it was but had planned not to tell me and just watched me freak out like that. She knew I was searching for it frantically and yet just let me go on searching blindly.

To Sarah: Only retards take delight in such sick jokes.

More polls!

Polls are always a fun thing to do.

The last one which I did had quite a number of you responding so can I conclude that you guys are actually very, um, responsive? Lol.

Anyway, here's another one for you. Heheh. Spam all you want!

PollPub.com VoteWould you wanna see me posting a video of myself singing?
Yeah! Sure. I've secretly been longing for this. Hahaha.
As usual, I got no comment. Whatever lah.
Oh no! Please spare me from the torture.

Time for an update.

It's a public holiday and yet I'm working.

At times of desperation when you're in need of money, I'm sure you will also do the same.
Be a slave on a public holiday, I mean. Who opens their shop on a public holiday man? The whole street here is like deadville. Parking lots were so empty when I arrived here this morning approximately half an hour late because stupid car keys failed me. The batteries died. Thank God for mum's car so I drove hers instead. By the way, parents are away at Kota Kinabalu for their anniversary =)

My dad's so funny. My siblings and I were at church when I got this text which read,
"Hey, we hv just landed in kk!"
Lol. He sounded like a small boy to me.

I realized my entries lately were mostly about work. Yeah, other than work, I'll be busy with cheer. That explains the lack of updates.

Anyway, since my life revolves around work lately, here's something funny to share with you guys.

Imagine this scenario when I'm in my boss's office when she's busy texting/dialing while talking to me.
Scene One
Her: Eh, you know where's the what ar?
Me: What?

Scene Two
Her: Eh, this who paid already ar?
Me: Who?

Seriously, she thinks I'm some kind of goddess who can read her mind is it? And bear in mind, that happens quite frequently. I will have to control myself from showing that I am actually quite annoyed.

Another funny incident was during cheer practice when I fell from a stunt and landed on my butt and it hurt quite a bit. Instead of getting sympathy from my friends, Mr Charm-Man just had to poke fun of me. [It's like his daily dose. Haha. You better stop it already if you're reading this!]

Charm-Man: Are you okay?
Me: Yeah, I'm fine. Quite painful lah.
Charm-Man: Eh your butt so big...How come you didn't bounce back up when you fell just now?
Me: *rolls eyes until it got stuck*
And that my friends, is the lamest statement of the week.

My TV life is back.

I'm one happy girl.

My Astro has been revived. It gives a whole new meaning to watch Astro again.

Hahaha. I'm talking about being able to watch models strut their thang, housewives getting desperate, old cars being pimped, rich and bratty sixteen year olds celebrating their birthday grander than the King's or who's dating who in Hollywood.

Still, there is a price to pay after finally getting back the Variety package. My dad opted to cancel the Learning package this time.

Oh well, I have no complaints.

I'd rather watch people giving birth than seeing how animals mate. Hehe.

Yay!

Stupid old fart.

I so need to rant!

So far during this 4 months plus since I started working at the car workshop place, I had no bad encounter with any of the customers. The majority are nice ones, some even too friendly ones. Haha.
Talking about bad encounter with customers..Well, maybe I came across just one lah. There was this Indian man who drives only a Kelisa but has an attitude problem like crazy. He was like the Indian lala type of person because some Tamil song was booming on his speakers when he drove his car here. Some more can park right in front of the entrance like that was his shop until my boss had to ask him to park elsewhere. Haha. The way he spoke to me was like as if I was deaf, shouting at every word he spoke. I was quite pissed at that time, but maybe that was just his nature, so fine I brushed it aside after rolling my eyes.

BUT!

Today is much worse okay.

ARGH.

When I just arrived at the office for a few minutes and was settling down, a stupid, saggy, wrinkly, fat, old fart just barged into the office. Hmmm..that man seems familiar, I thought to myself. Yeah, he came before. No bad memories about him. YET.
At that same moment, I was talking to the foreign worker about how to switch on the lights because my room is actually the room next door and not the room that I was in at that time. Lol. Geddit?

So anyway, that stupid, saggy, wrinkly, fat, old fart intruded the office like some terrorist and asked if my boss was in.
I answered 'No, she's not in.' Then continued asking the foreign worker about the switch.

And then you know what the stupid, saggy, wrinkly, fat, old fart said?

'When I'm talking to you, you look at me and answer me. Don't look elsewhere. So no manners at all. So is she in or not?'

I wanted to yell back, 'HELLOOO! I just answered you. Do you have a hearing problem ah?' Damn stupid. At the back of my mind, I was cursing like crazy. And I did look at him while replying him. I think it was after I replied that I look elsewhere. EH, you can't blame me for not staring at you a little longer when you're THAT ugly both on the inside and outside right!

Instead, I just repeated my reply 'No, she is not in', emphasizing each word carefully with a cold hard stare.

I think he understood the meaning after that cos he was like 'Come, I show you where's my car blablabla' Just leave your damn car keys lah. Super menyampah. My boss already knows what he wants to do with his car and yet he is repeating it again. (Signs of aging, I hope you won't get Alzheimer's) Then ask me to personally pass his car keys to my boss some more. It won't go missing just like that lah idiot. Oh, and just so you know, he's driving a Merc i-dunno-what-model so probably that's why he's so bitchy. Rich, old fart.

Yeah, and I thought only women would be that bitchy. I was proved wrong.

And who says men do not have PMS? I think they do.

Goriness to the maximum.

I just read this e-mail I received from FattyKit.

Frankly speaking, I would not bother forwarding e-mails to the entire world which pleads you to help this child who suffers from cancer, leukemia, etc just because AOL would donate 5cents into the fund of that child for each forwarded e-mail. Call me heartless or whatever, I just can't get myself to believe these kinda e-mails.

This time around, however, made me wanna do something about it. Or blog about it, at the least.
What is this e-mail about, you ask? It's a message PETA [People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals] is trying to spread to people across the globe to go fur-free.

The title: A Shocking Look Inside Chinese Fur Farms

Click only if you are ready to view it with an empty stomach and make sure you have a few tissue papers at your side. Oh, and did I mention it is so bad that I couldn't bear to watch the entire video?

For those who don't have the guts to view it, HAHAHA at your sissyness.

But fret not, for I shall enlighten you about the video. Okay, back to the topic. I still cannot forget the video I viewed moments ago. Seriously, these China people are so cruel. [And I think the term 'cruel' would be an understatement.]

I may not be that much of an animal lover but I definitely won't torture animals like that. I like dogs but am afraid of them, I hate cats and won't deny it. I would freak out each time a cat passes by me especially in mamak stalls where it will brush its tail against my legs when I didn't notice then I would shriek!

That aside, I am still very disgusted that such a thing is going on just for the sake of getting the fur. Ugh. I think you guys should be aware of it too, help to pass this message around, and obviously do not buy any fur products lah!

I am proud to say I do not own any fur clothings. Heheh.

If you're too lazy to click on the link or too *coughsissycough* to watch the video, here's basically what the inhumane humans in China do for a living.

"When undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms recently, they found that many animals are still alive and struggling desperately when workers flip them onto their backs or hang them up by their legs or tails to skin them. When workers on these farms begin to cut the skin and fur from an animal's leg, the free limbs kick and writhe. Workers stomp on the necks and heads of animals who struggle too hard to allow a clean cut.
When the fur is finally peeled off over the animals' heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them. Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals' hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned. One investigator recorded a skinned raccoon dog on the heap of carcasses who had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera.

Before they are skinned alive, animals are pulled from their cages and thrown to the ground; workers bludgeon them with metal rods or slam them on hard surfaces, causing broken bones and convulsions but not always immediate death. Animals watch helplessly as workers make their way down the row."

Poor animals I tell you. They are skinned ALIVE! Literally skinned alive, not those 'I-will-skin-you-alive-if-you-spill-my-secret' kinda nonsense. So don't misuse that line okay, hahah. I can cry buckets just by reading that. It's so depressing viewing the video lah. Oh gosh, I don't know why I'm very disturbed by the video.

Don't try to talk nonsense with me saying 'If you're so caring towards animals, go become a vegetarian lah fool!' Those are two different cases, so it can't be compared, and I like chicken. Heh.

Also, I will not go to the extreme like what Fattykit said 'I would rather go naked than wearing fur'. You know you always see in the newspapers where those chun babes would go nekkid by just wearing a manila cardboard hanging over their neck screaming 'STOP THE KILLING TO GET FUR' or Fattykit's line or whatever creative lines they can come up with? Yeah, I won't do that. At least wear some leaves to cover up lah haiyo.

Sigh, all this talk is making me so depressed. I shall move on to a happier topic. And what better way to make myself happy than to view my pretty pictures? Lol.

The disadvantages of being the tallest. You get cropped out of the pictures. Heheh.

Birthday boy looking handsome.

P.S The title of this post is obviously meant for the video, not because my face is gory lah okay.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Oops! He did it again.

I thought he will never do it again. Looks like history repeated itself.

STALKER!!!

Stalker mentioned is none other than my father. He ah. And I'm not complaining about him reading my blog. But the problem is after he reads right, he will nag at me about how indecent I can type sometimes. [Hello papa are you reading this?]

So I wanna know what do you guys think. VOTE!

About: Nokia 3100

I cannot believe how fast mudah.com.my works. And no, this is not an advertorial.

As of today, Friday 18th April 2008 at 12:45 am, I have already received 9 e-mails from people who showed interest in my handphone. It may not sound like a lot to you, but nine is considered a big number to me!
I mean, just look at my handphone! Who would be interested in buying this lah?

I posted this picture up which got those nine e-mails filling my inbox.

Okay lah, maybe I cheated a wee bit.
I typed this in the description column : Nokia 3100 still in good condition =)

FYI, my phone is obviously not in a good condition after abusing it for about 5 years now. My sister gave my phone a nickname, namely The Jaundice Phone, because the screen's light is that kinda yong sui off-white yellowish colour. I paid RM630 for this lau pek phone and I can't believe I was so dumb. Now the price has decreased like crazy so I'm very shocked there are actually humans who wanna buy this phone. The price I offered was RM100 and I still think the 'good condition' line was what made them interested. Hehe.

These are the e-mails which mudah.com.my sent to me:
1. rm60 boleh??serius buyer -sham
2. Hi!I m quite interested wif ur nk3100.can i know wats the best $$ u can give it 2 me??Items comes wif wat??? -KRIS
3. Im interested with your handphone. Can you call me so that we can arrange a meeting?FYI, I live in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. -afif
4. helo.. is your hp still available? can still nego the price? is it come with charger? where is your location? do reply... thanx.. -fifi
5. sy berminat....harga boleh kurang lg tak?chargeade tak? -huda
6. Iam interested to buy your nokia 3100, please contact me or sms -abdul jalal
7. pls call me..i want buy handphone..tq -muru
8. free call hp ni..nk tnye ttg 3100 2 k -zack
9. hi..ur 3100 still availble??contact me a.s.a.p tq -edy

Hahah. See what I mean? I'm not making it up. So if any of the 9 people stated above accidentally stumble upon my blog, I wanna apologize for being such a pain in the butt because I've decided not to sell this phone away. As much as I keep complaining about this phone, there's still the sentimental value in it which is tugging me back from selling it off. Time to delete the ad before I bring more sufferings to people's butt. Hahah okay that was lame I need sleep=p

Although this will still not deter me from getting a spanking new handphone! Heheheh.
FYI, the HFM (Heal Florence's Misery) fund is still going on!
And the collection up to date is an amazing ZERO! However, you can be my HERO and turn yourself from zero to hero. Hohohahahehe.

I seriously need some sleep. G'nite readers!

P.S I've been updating quite constantly I should give myself a pat on the back. LOL. I'm on a roll mannnn. =)

Mudah.com spells simple.com

Hello again people! =)

Remember I once mentioned that I'm gonna do something about me earning money and not just sit around and complain about it? Well, guess what? I'm back to work at the same place again after much bugging from my boss to return to work. I gave in because I needed the moolah.

That's beyond the point though. I did something else more, um, beneficial!

I'm sure many of you by now have already heard of mudah.com.my, right? Anyway, if you happen to be one of those 'frogs under the coconut shell', let me enlighten you.

mudah.com.my is a really cool site where you can buy and sell items around your region (they don't name it 'The marketplace of Malaysia' for nothing) ranging from cars, houses/shoplots for rent or sale, part-time/full-time jobs, tech-savvy gadgets, used parts & accessories etc. Do check the website out cos there are many other weird/funny services and items which are on sale. =)

To join in the fun, I've decided to sell off one of my most treasured item.

Guess what is it?????It is none other than..........my construction worker-like handphone.
(Hey, it's damn valuable okay! It's my first handphone!)

Now let me teach you the ABC's of selling off your item.

First of all, go to mudah.com.my. Then, select your region. After that, click on the 'Insert Ad' link to place your ad. Hahaha. As you can see, I've pasted a screenshot for you all to see. So whatever I typed is the same as what's in there. When you've finished placing your ad, you will have to verify the ad within 48 hours.
The best part about this website is that it's a free service!! *I see the kiasu ppl rejoicing. Ngekngek* No subscription fee or whatever nonsense like that. Just fill in some of your particulars and you're good to go!

It's just as simple as that! After completing those steps, just pray that someone will get attracted to your item/service. I'm not putting any hope in what I'm trying to sell though. Heheh.

This review is brought to you by Advertlets.com and Mudah.com.my!

Happy Birthday Fiona!

So it's your big day today. 14th April 2008.

Eventhough you really get on my nerves sometimes, (so much so that I sometimes question God why did he give me such a sibling) thus the nickname 'annoying', you know I still love you no matter how much we fight, yell and give nasty nicknames to each other. [You won't want me listing them down, it will never end]
Time and again, we never fail to patch things up after each fight. I think the longest silent treatment I've ever given you was only 1 week max, right? I guess this is what sisterly love actually means. *pukes* Hehe.

To prove my love to you, I've spent the whole afternoon compiling pictures to create a video clip using Windows Movie Maker (which I'll eventually post it up when I figure out how to do so cos it's just too nice) and you have to give me credit cos it's only my first time doing it. Therefore, I'm very proud of myself. Hahaha.
Besides that, I also had to skip cheer practice which I'm very sure caused my captain to be not very pleased about it. So you better start appreciating and treating me nicely because I know I'll get some sort of punishment when I get back to practice. See all the sacrifices I made for you!

Blessed 22nd Birthday! Muax! XOXO

10 random statements of the day.

Since I'm like so free now, I might as well leave something here.

And since YOU are so free reading this, it's my pleasure to entertain you :)

10. I need to go on a holiday! Preferably a beachy one. Lol. I'm very interested in going to Sipadan, Sabah. Heard and saw pictures from websites that the place is gorgeous. It's definitely about time I take out my bikini camera and camwhore by the beach. I just loooooovve the feeling of the strong wind blowing through your hair and the sweet salty smelling, crystal clear sea water. Ahhh. Not to forget, walking under the stars at night by the seaside. Eventhough there isn't anyone to walk under the stars romantically with. Yet. :p

9. Does a point 5 mark make any difference? Today at gym, someone asked me how much I weighed. I asked that person to guess. That person said: xx kg? Me: No, it's xx.5!
I'm a point 5 kg heavier than what that person thought. Oh no!! That is def bad news. =((((

8. My boss asked me to go back to work tomorrow because 'got bil nt file. N take ur chq' . And I agreed. Sigh. If it wasn't for the 'take ur chq' line, I would have told her to go fly kite.

7. The 'tiny brinjal' decided to reappear again after the master stubbornly didn't allow it to rest but took it for granted.

6. A few church members, 3men to be exact, mentioned that they were gonna climb Mount Kinabalu sometime this month. I wanna go also! Not with them at the same time because it's too soon la, but it's one of those things I wanna do before I die! Conquer Mount Kinabalu. Hehe.

5. I am in need of more cash. I should do something about this and not just announce that I need more money. I will do something about this. I must do something about this. Sigh, I find myself so inspirational sometimes.

4. I cannot wait for the end of May to arrive. It's not BR's 31st la if you think you hit the jackpot. Somethin else. Which I'll come to blog about eventually :)

3. Is it possible to forgive someone so easily and pretend like 'that' incident has never happened?

2. I hate having garlic breath. No thanks to you, Fiona.

1. My grandfather's turning 80 years young this Saturday!!! Speaking of which, it reminded me of this conversation:-

Me: I need to get a dress for my grandfather's birthday.
Friend: Huh? What for?! Your grandfather is gonna wear a dress???
Me: No lar, I need to buy a new dress to look pretty on his big day ma.
Friend: What a useless granddaughter.

Hehe.. So what should I really get him? Ideas, anyone?

What a weekend.

Crazy weekend, to be precise.

On Saturday night, we had to be at Cineleisure at 10.30pm to set everything up eg. safety mats, carpet, tables and chairs for the judges, VIPs and media.
Then halfway during the set up, the Rainbows arrived. The Rainbows are an all-boys team from Thailand who is superbly, fantastically geng chow! They came here not to compete but to be our guest performers. FYI, they are an all-gay team.

After setting up which ended around 1 something a.m, we had to run through our routine because we would also be performing the next day. So, it was really tiring for all of us. The practice only ended around 3a.m which caused us to arrive home at 3-ish. As if that wasn't enough, we had to reach Cineleisure the next day at 8.30 a.m. The initial plan was to be there by 7.30 a.m. Crazyness! Thank God they switched it to 8.30. Heh..
If you were not there at the event, it sucks to be you. heh jk. let me give you a snippet of what happened.

Among the celebrities there were Amber Chia, Belinda C, and er... if you consider the So You Think You Can Dance finalists celebrities as well, Brancy and Dennis were there too.

There were quite a lot of drama happening behind the scene because a few cried due to some reasons. While many may address me as a drama queen, let me clarify first that I'm definitely not one. Sad to say I was one of the 'few' who cried. In public. Which isn't a pretty sight. Omg, someone just shoot me lar.
It was because while we were warming up our stunts an hour before the performance, I injured myself. Well, what can I say. Shit happens. I just didn't expect it to befall me on that particular moment, 59 minutes or so before our performance.

So, I was overwhelmed with two emotions at the same time. Firstly, I was obviously in pain. My last toe swelled up almost instantly it looked like a tiny brinjal. [Do not ask why a brinjal, couldn't think of any other comparison.] Secondly, I was afraid I will not be able to perform because of the pain that was so intense I was doubting myself so much. I think it was more of the latter though. Then the tears literally just trickled down non-stop and my captain was asking me if I am sure I could still perform while I was just nodding and sobbing like an idiot. Gosh.

The St.John people came to my rescue by spraying some cold spray on the wounded spot and bandaged it so tight until I think they caused me to feel more pain than before. Despite the pain, the show must still go on. Thank God the performance went on smoothly.

Anyway, here are a few pictures snapped by our very own CHARM's professional photographer, Kelvin.

Overall, the whole event was a success. Everyone was being so supportive especially towards the Thailand team. The crowd was just yelling like crazy each time they made a movement. Hahaha. A huge thanks to my bunch of friends, (WernSern, ShanYong, Darimi, Ah Long, Chew) for coming over to show your support. =)

P.S: I wanna thank God for His healing power because I've stopped limping. Yay!

P.P.S: The guy from gua.com.my who did the coverage for this event is uber cute!!

P.P.P.S: This is my 100th post! *joy*

Edit: Here's the video you've been longing to watch, Nat. Teehee.

Rojak?

There's just too many funny incidents at my workplace I cannot possibly list them all here.

But what's weird today is that another Bangla worker (yup, there are THAT many Bangla workers) asked me this before I clocked out from work.

This meaning :
Kak, balik ar? (Now there are 2 things I don't understand. First of all, isn't it obvious I'm going home since I'm clocking out? Secondly, I have no idea why on earth he adressed me as a KAK)

*Nods head and smiles*

Papa Chinese?

I was all HUH??

Papa you Chinese?

Then I nodded again, this time with a fake smile because I felt quite annoyed.

DO I NOT LOOK LIKE A CHINESE TO YOU?!?

Speaking of which, there was one time when my friend lied to another friend of ours saying that I'm actually Vietnamese and I own the Vietnamese Kitchen at Taipan. And that 'genius' friend actually bought that joke! Omg.

Somebody please help me look more Chinese-y. I thought my small sepet eyes can already prove that I'm a 100% Chinese. [No offense to any Vietnamese reading this.]

Of Banglas and English and Malay.

Hey, sorry for the lack of updates. Haven't got the mood/too lazy/whatever you wanna call it. Yeah, kick me around and I'll still be that lazy.

Anyways, something funny happened at work yesterday.

A Bangla worker came into the office looking for something quite urgently.

Nak cari apa? (At this point, I do not know whether to converse with him in Malay or English because they can speak and understand both languages but with very poor command of both)

Paint shield, was his reply.

Not bad, not bad, I thought to myself. Good, can understand English. I continued to ask him back, 'What's a paint shield?' with a totally blank look on my face.

Then he started replying back in Malay, bla bla bla kalau tumpah boleh cuci.. The rest I couldn't really catch what was he saying even when I've tried straining my ears.

It suddenly hit me that maybe he wanted a bottle of thinner or something. 'Ohhh, thinner is it?'
I asked back suddenly feeling quite happy I finally knew what he wanted, searching aimlessly for a bottle of thinner without waiting for his reply.

He suddenly grabbed a red looking stick and said 'Ahhh, ini ini.'

I looked up only to see him holding a red PENCIL triumphantly. -_-

It's now or never.

Cheh. Title sounds so important. I find myself so good at giving titles I should get an award for it.
Anyway, what I really meant was my many months ago trip in China. Gonna write it off once and for all.

Give you 10 bucks if you can guess what we're sipping.
Can't guess? Give up?

It's diluted chrysanthemum tea! (yuck) Too late. I told you the answer so the 10 bucks reward is gone.

The itinerary after that horrible tasting tea session was much much better. We travelled to a place called the XiTang water village which was indeed an eye-opener for urban people.

See what I mean? How often do you see a red, three-wheeled vehicle here?

My momma can also pose okay. Can yo momma pose like that?

I love the fact that we never fail to take a family picture almost everywhere we went.

The grandfather at the background was fishing for rubbish with the net. Yes, those are vegetables at the corner.

Even with the help of the 'ah pak' to keep the river rubbish-free, it's still not really clean though. Let me rephrase that. It's dirty, yet the villagers wash their clothes there. I kid you not.

Tom Cruise was here before for the shooting of MI3! OMG!!! *bimbo tone*

An upclose photo of the motorized bicycle I was talking about previously. I think I can now conclude that red is the all time favourite colour of the people of China.

We bought this sticky thing made out of maltose, I think. It's extremely sweet. You'll love it if you have a sweet tooth.

China's Venice? Lol. Whatever. The man is staring as if he hasn't seen leng luis syok sendiri-ing before. Hahaha.

A random China toddler who is so cute can die.

Just to show how narrow the lane is.

This is how they make that maltose thing. Super elastic! I think this requires quite a lot of energy man. Cos that dude sure looked like he was using a lot of strength.

The labrador (or is it a golden retriever?) is there to welcome people to rent the room his master is renting out. I'm not joking.

I see many Fiona's.

Up next was lunch.
The highlight of the meal was supposedly the hairy crab we had. The tour guide kept promoting non-stop saying how we should try it because they cook the crab in a really mouth-watering style.

The turn out? Nothing to shout about.
Worse still, we got conned. Because my dad paid 60 freakin Yuan for this crab. That's almost equivalent to Rm30. Don't let the picture fool you, the crab is probably only the size of my palm. I think we paid just to see how hairy it is lor seriously.

After the meal, we travelled back to where our journey began, Shanghai. On the way back, we captured this picture of the ferris wheel which is surprisingly kinda huge! It looks and definitely is larger than the Eye On Malaysia. And the Eye On Malaysia doesn't even belong to us. Pfft.

After that, we went to one of the Soong's sister's burial ground. There are 3 Soong sisters altogether and all of them made a mark in the history of China just by marrying some famous dude. The one we visited was the second in the family if I'm not mistaken. She's the wife of Dr. Sun Yat Sen. She requested to be buried alongside her parents before she died because apparently she disobeyed her father when her dad forbidded her to marry Sun Yat Sen so this was her way to pay her respects. Reason being the famous historian was a very close friend to her father. When the tour guide explained this to us, I still cannot imagine how could she have fallen in love with a man who's about the same age as your father.

Imagine your father introducing you to his friend and then you get all flirty and start sending winks and flicking your hair. Eeew. Surely there are many other better looking man around right! Even MY masseur is much better looking. Muahahah.

The flirtatious one in the family.

So after listening to the promiscuous story, night arrived and it was time for dinner.

Dined on a floating restaurant. =) The exterior looked good. Interior wasn't that bad also.

Then, we went back to Shanghai Bund once AGAIN. Waste of time? Well, not really.
Cos you get to see all the mushy couples snogging each other
Cos this time we went on the gigantic ship which looked so much like the China's Titanic version. Okay, maybe a little exaggerated but you get the drift.

It was seriously very cold that particular night. The coldest night while we were there. I definitely wasn't being a wimp okay because the tour guide herself was shivering throughout the entire night.
The Oriental Pearl Tower looks so so so good at night. <3>

That happening spot only got me interested just because there were so many ang mohs there. Me likey.

Yes, that's S.H.E right above our heads.

Beautiful litted Christmas tree..but it got ruined by the girl in the picture.

So happening. Got pub some more with music blaring in the background. As predictable as it may be, yup, we didn't enter. And no, I'm not complaining.

So that whole happening visit didn't turn out to be as happening as I made it sound. So yeah. Heheh.

Passed by this stage which was solely set up for the countdown to usher in the New Year. We left a day before the New Year so we missed out on this. Or else we would be there ushering in 2008 with the Chinese going 'San..Er...Yi...Xing Nian Kuai Le!!!' Wo hui jiang hua yi okay. Bu yao wan-wan.

After that, it was back to the hotel. We only got to shut our eyes for 2 hours or so then it was time to get to the airport.

HAHAH. I can't believe I FINALLY managed to finish blogging about this trip. It seemed like a never-ending story.

For those who can't get enough of the trip, you can even watch an exclusive video featuring who else but, me. Please dial 1800-I-Cant-Get-Enough-Of-Florence for the limited videotape.

More lame jokes.

Got this from an e-mail sent by mom. Enjoy!

Customer: Waiter, do you serve pigs?
Waiter: Please sit down sir, we serve everyone.

Lady: Is this my train?
Station Master: No, it belongs to the Railway Company.
Lady: Don't try to be funny. I mean to ask if I can take this train to New Delhi.
Station Master: No Madam, I'm afraid it's too heavy.
