Fireworks!

In conjunction with our country's 50th independence day, our country has become host to 3 other countries in a fireworks competition which kicked off on the 18th of August.

Being the kiasus that we are, my family and I headed down to Putrajaya to see this spectacular fireworks display. We managed to witness the display by Australia and Italy.
I have to say that Italy fared much better than Australia [not that I know how to judge] or maybe it was because I saw Italy's display at a much closer view compared to the OZ's.
So, here are a few pictures taken by my younger sister, Sarah.

It brought the little kid out in me when I saw the fireworks because I was making a lot of noise like, 'wah, so nice!' and such.

There was even a star and heart shaped fireworks okay! I'm serious. I was damn fascinated with that. Karine even said Japan's one will have Doraemon shape. At first, I just laughed my ass off but come to think of it after seeing the star and heart shaped ones, it might somehow be true. Lol.

Go watch the coming one from Japan on the 30th of August. Starts at 10pm. Bet it'll be good. =)

My conclusion? One word. Awesome.

Birthday

Hey all!
As you can see, haven't been updating lately due to the upcoming exams. Actually not really la, just lazy to update.

So anyways, I turned 19 twelve days ago. And to all the busybodies who wanna know what it was like, here goes:
Amanda & Wei Kit called me out for tea so we went to that Old Town Kopitiam shop in Taipan.
Wei Kit home baked a cake for me. So sweet. =) It was a chocolate cheese cake.

Tried lighting up the candles but failed because the wind kept blowing in our direction so I had to pretend to blow the invisible fire. How entertaining. =p

Nevertheless, thanks to the both of you for spending time with me.

The Form Six gang threw me a surprise. Not a surprise party, but a surprise bash. How fun. Actually, I kinda suspected something fishy was gonna happen but I just kept it to myself because I didn't wanna syok-sendiri and they might suddenly say 'who so free wanna bash you' so I just shut up and saved myself from the embarrassment.

But I knew I should have trusted my instinct when they said they could fetch me home after the konon group studying. Wah, I tell you the way they grabbed and put me into the car, it was like being abducted. No joke. They even blindfolded me. Lucky they didn't stuff anything in my mouth or else I would have screamed like your annoying neighbour next door.

To cut the story short, I was bashed with some really icky, yucky, disgusting, gross, [insert whatever yucky term you can think of here] mixture. I found out that those inhumane peeps mixed flour, barbeque sauce, chicken stock, (eggs?) and so on. I was surprised myself that I didn't puke on the spot. One friend even offered me water to wash off everything but then I later found out that it was actually sugar solution! Shut up, I ain't no bimbo. It was because I was already covered with those sticky stuff that's why I couldn't tell the difference.

Took me about an hour in the bathroom to get the smell off. Even after 4 attempts of washing my hair, the smell was somehow still there.
Went to Asia Cafe at night and got a nice sounding from Dad for coming back at 1.
1 only ok! Sigh. Don't wanna further elaborate about this.

Thanks guys for coming out and celebrating with me although you all can get evil at times. =)

My gift from mom is on my foot. The sampat poh beside me syok sendiri and wanted to try it on also.

Gift from dad is dinner at Italiannies.

Lastly, just wanna say a big thank you to all of you who wished and for your presents. Really appreciate both your presents and presence on that day! *hugs*

Dark In Here.

A woman takes a lover home during the day while her husband is at work.
Her 9-year old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them, and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch.
The woman's husband also comes home.
She puts her lover in the cupboard, not realising that the little boy is in there already.

The little boy says, "Dark in here."
The man says, "Yes, it is."
Boy - "I have a football."
Man - "That's nice."
Boy - "Want to buy it?"
Man - "No, thanks."
Boy - "My dad's outside."
Man - "OK, how much?"
Boy - "£250"

Boy - "Dark in here."
Man - "Yes, it is."
Boy - "I have football boots."
The lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy, "How much?"
Boy - "£750"
Man - "Sold."

A few days later, the boys' father says to the boy, "Grab your boots outside and have a game of soccer."
The boy says, "I can't, I sold my ball and boots."
The father asks, "How much did you sell them for?"
Boy -"£1,000."
The father says, "That's terrible to overcharge your friends like that. That is way more than those two things cost. I'm going to take you to church and make you confess."
They go to the church and the father makes the little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door.

The boy says, "Dark in here."
The priest says, "Don't start that sh*t again. You're in my cupboard now."

StarCeleb at Berjaya Times Square

If you've read my previous post about this StarCeleb thing, you'll definitely know that my sisters and I went down to the city last weekend to catch the event and snap a few photos for the sake of this review.

You see, I'm doing this for the sake of the moolah and since my sister told me that RM100 has been credited into her account, I was all green with jealousy and decided to do the same myself. [Advertlets, please give it me baybe!]
So the day started when we went to Times Square by supporting the public transportation, the KTM. Also, to save and keep the environment clean by causing less air pollution
I would also like to add that I dislike taking trains because of the 'wonderful' smelling odour and the tuna-packed situation.
Upon reaching KL Sentral, we took the lift meant for the disabled because we were too lazy to use the escalator. Little did we know that as we stepped into the lift, we were welcomed by this horrible body odour in the lift I swore I almost died inside because I had to hold my breath.
There were even 2 Caucasians in the lift and my sister told me that they were pinching their noses in order to hold their breath. It's so embarrassing being a Malaysian myself in times like these. You just don't know where to hide your face. Sigh.
Embarrassing moments apart, we finally made it to the mall and headed straight to the Boulevard area.
If you still have no idea what StarCeleb is, let me enlighten you once again.
StarCeleb is a brand new exciting reality show, looking for two winners to be models, brand ambassadors and TV hosts that will set the path for their road to stardom.
Hosted by May Wan and Daniel Tan, both talented in the field of modelling and hosting, the show promises lots of surprises, talent showcases and experiences that we can all relate to.
We reached the place at about 12-ish and I thought we were late since the StarCeleb website says it starts at 11am. As predictable as it is, all I could see was the empty stage. What do you expect? We're all true Malaysians ma. =)

We received this tiny booklet to get familiar with the faces of the contestants and to vote for them.
There isn't any favouritism yet because I've only seen the contestants once and also I haven't seen the rest from Group B. The ones I've seen are from Group A and sadly after that, I had to go home so I couldn't catch the rest of them.
However, here's what I gathered from my entire day spent there.
A few of the contestants on stage. I understood that they were divided into a few groups and were suppose to take turns hosting and performing.
That week saw them showcasing whatever talents they had.

This girl painted some Chinese caligraphy writing while singing to some Chinese song. Don't ask me what she sang or wrote. I'm a banana.

This girl, Min Li, might get far in this competition, I'd say. She's kinda good at hosting and she sang Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be' and surprisingly the windows and glasses didn't break. Thank God. =)

This is contestant number 1. His name is Mark. As you can see, he did some tai chi thing and each movement came along with some watermelon story. His biceps are like super huge!

Ras Angela's her name. She did some mind reading thing which was supposed to turn out to make the audiences go 'wow', but unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be as miraculous as it should be. It was so long winded the judges had to ring the bell.

This contestant, Ayu, danced to the beat of Justin Timberlake's 'Sexy Back'. I'd say it wasn't that sexy and impressive.

Is his name Steven? Sorry I can't remember because I can't even remember what he performed. Oops.

I remember her as the 'Awesoommmeee' girl from 'So You Think You Can Dance'. Yup, she's here once again, trying to compete in a competition which suits her more, which is using her talking skills. She performed taekwando and not forgetting, dance.

Effa did belly dancing which I believe wasn't really belly dancing but more to shaking her hips gently. Could have been better.

This sweet girl's name is Doreen. She sang to the tune of Britney Spears's 'Lucky' and her singing was not bad. Simple and sweet.

Another contestant named Deborah dancing to JT's 'Sexy Back'. She's like the tiniest girl in this competition.

This one's my personal favourite because I find him the most entertaining. That's Jude doing a toe touch. My sister said I'm impressed just because he's performing what I love, cheerleading.

But seriously, I think his performance was the best. Thumbs up to him.

At first, I got shocked that she could sing so well. Then only I realized that she was lip-synching to a Chinese song. She's Joanne.

Leo was talking in a sing-song manner. I don't know if you understand what I just said, but yeah, that's what he did.

Hmmm..can't really remember what she did as well but from what I can see she was definitely dancing. Reason to why I cannot remember what she did was not because I didn't watch it [well, partially], but mostly because I was already distracted at that time by.......

HIM! Daniel Tan. He was walking around with a crutch. Don't know what happened to him. Poor thing.

But even with the crutch on, he still sizzles! Hahaha.

There, I'm finally done! Hope you enjoyed reading!

5C!

Just a quickie. We had our class reunion last Saturday at Sunway Pyramid to catch up and laugh at how everyone has changed so drastically with each other.

Picked Nat at about 6.30 because the plan was to meet up at 7. Obviously, we were punctual since we left early. But the guys from our class were too much. The word gentlemen would not best describe them because they made us wait for them for about an hour! Hmph.

So when everyone finally reached, we were calling one another to ask about which spot to meet up. Then as Nat and I walked closer, we saw one of our classmates with a seriously drastic change [as in physical appearance] we couldn't help laughing. We had to stop walking just to laugh first then only continue walking towards them.

After the meet up, all was good. Took a couple of minutes discussing where to have our dinner and the organizer, Termhitam [Tarmizi] decided we should all head to Nando's.

Next was the bowling session where out of 16 who turned up for this reunion, only 4 paid to bowl. The rest just sat and watch and laughed even more. The four bowlers were our entertainers of the night. Hehe.

The guys watched The Simpsons which started at 11.45 but I couldn't stay on because I had to get up early to go to church the next day.

As you can see, there are only 2 girls in the picture. Don't get me wrong, my Form5 class was memang flocked by the males. Our class had only 9 girls and the rest of the girls didn't turn up cos kononnya busy. Bunch of ffk-ers. Hahaha.

Nevertheless, the gathering was a fun one and I'm already looking forward for the next.
