Ijok.

Does that name ring any bell?
Prolly you read it in the papers about the elections going on and what not.

I went there last Sunday with a few of my church members to feast on the somewhat famous Beggar food.

By that, I actually mean the Beggar Chicken, Beggar Duck & Beggar Pork!
I think my pastor joked and said something like,
"Wah, if beggars get to eat such nice food everyday, I also don't mind becoming one myself."
The restaurant was situated somewhere in a really 'ulu' place. It had a really 'ulu' name as well. Restaurant New Beggar Delicious or something. Their England is so powderful.

Let me show you the process of making the Beggar dishes.
The chicken is actually placed inside that clay. Yes, the clay is the one at the side of the table which looks like a rock. This is actually after the chicken has been cooked.

This old man then hacks the clay with some tool la. Can't remember what was it.

After that, he asked his assistant (got assistant one okay, don't play-play) to hold the foil while he unwrapped it.

Lo and behold! The Beggar Pork!

Beggar Chicken.

Beggar Duck.

The finished food. We had fish, prawns, crabs and pork intestine soup. I didn't really like that soup.

We also had Mango Delight to celebrate the birthday of 3 people. All of them were not born on the same day la, but of the same month. So to save cost, one shot buy one cake. It's like killing 3 birds with one stone. Lol.

Little Yvette & I.

Guess that's about it for now. Oh, and the month of August is approaching.

I wonder what occassion is it which is so important I absolutely forbid any readers of mine to not remember.

No idiots, it's not our Independence Day.

Think harder!

Till then... =)

Cineleisure Photoshoot

For more info about what happened, click here.

All I can tell you is the highlight of the entire day which is having the privilege dining at Genki Sushi.

I know, what's the big deal about that right?

The big deal is that we were allowed to order whatever we wanted and eat as much as we could.
Imagine that! It's like Genki buffet. Hahahaa. Syok giler.

If I was informed about this earlier, I would have starved myself from the previous night. Lol.
Kiasu-ism.

Anyway, if you wanna view pictures and be a keh poh, head over to Sandra De Tiny One's blog.

P.S Shut up about how I look in the pictures.

Blogthings.

Posting something random for the sake of keeping this blog alive.

Your Seduction Style: The Coquette

You are a pro at playing the age old game of hard to get.

Your flirting style runs hot and cold, giving just enough to keep them chasing you.

Independent and self-sufficient, you don't need any one person to make you complete.

And that independence is exactly what makes people pursue you.

You Are 53% Bitchy

Generally, you're an average woman, with average moods. But sometimes... well, watch out!
Sometimes, you let your mean side get the better of you. And you enjoy every minute of it.

You Don't Have a Boyfriend Because You are Too Picky

You have no problem attracting guys - and even dating a little
It's just around second or third date time where you start to see faults
If a guy isn't near perfect, you're not into him.
It's good to have standards - but yours rule almost everyone out.

You Are 54% Vain

You're a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence.
Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don't think less of those who aren't as pretty as you!

You Are 32% Shy

You are slightly shy, but overall, your reactions to social situations are normal.
You dread difficult social situations, but you still handle them with grace.

You Have Your Sarcastic Moments

While you're not sarcastic at all times, you definitely have a cynical edge.
In your opinion, not all people are annoying. Some are dead!
And although you do have your genuine moments, you can't help getting your zingers in.
Some people might be a little hurt by your sarcasm, but it's more likely they think you're hilarious.

Now I bet most of you didn't know I'm like that!

You're not supposed to really believe everything stated above though. Hehe.

5R Trip

My last Saturday was spent together with my fellow Seafieldians from the 5R club. Yes, for those who don't know, there is such a club as 5R. It's an environmental club. And no, 3R no longer exists because it has been upgraded to 5R which stands for Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Rethink, Repair.

So guess where we were headed to?

The club decided to go to a recycling factory and then to FRIM. [I always thought FRIM was Forest Reserve something something but then I found out that it's actually Forest Research Institute of Malaysia. Close enough =p]

The 38 gang in the bus.

The recycling factory is situated somewhere in Shah Alam so we only took about less than half an hour to reach there. I don't know why I had the impression that the factory was somewhat gonna be huge but upon reaching there, it wasn't as what I thought. You can see everything there in just a glance.

Piles and piles of newspapers and magazines!

The machine which costs half a million to compress the recyclables.

Compressed recyclables stacked neatly.

We just had to take a picture no matter where we were. This explains everything.

After the oh-so-very-informative visit to the factory, we left for FRIM and reached about 10a.m. Then, we had to gather at a spot for a short briefing by the FRIM guy named Zul. He had a lot of pantang larangs. Firstly, he didn't allow us to call him 'pak cik'. Then, he explained that we had to walk in a line and follow his lead and not overtake him. He also said that there are leeches, a king cobra and wild boars in there. [Upon hearing this, I was so delirious that we were gonna meet some wildlife I started acting and jumping like Uken a monkey...No, of course not. I was actually keeping the excitement to myself lah.]

And then he added that we're not allowed to kill the leeches or else we'll be fined. Oh, and not forgetting the mosquitoes. If we were to smack them for sucking our blood, he'll fine us RM5 per mosquito.

Besides that, did you know that Mother Nature has ears and actually listens to you? He told us not to curse in there or else she might hear us and get pissed or something like that. Damn lame until I cannot laugh wei.

Pak Cik Zul in green and red collared T-shirt.

The tallest bamboo tree! So tall till the camera can't capture it's height.

I absolutely love this picture! When you look up, you can see rays of sunlight shining down from above. It's just so beautiful. Pak Cik Zul said they call it the 'wow' spot. He was trying so hard to be funny =)

We walked a lot throughout the entire day. Bear in mind that the area of FRIM is as large as either 5296 or 5269 hectare. Can't remember the exact figure.

We were told that we would have to climb a thousand of these kinda steps up to reach the hanging bridge!

Had to go in groups of five on the hanging bridge to not exert so much pressure on the bridge.

Beyond these smiles, I was actually quite nervous while I was on the bridge because it was 30m above ground level and 1000m above sea level. So high I got scared just looking down.

The magnificent view of the city though you can't really see it here.

The waterfall wasn't as great as I thought. I've seen better ones.

Overall, it was an enjoyable trip. All the walking definitely made us ached, exhausted and sweaty but the feeling was rather good because the thought of firming up our legs brightened me up. Hehe.

Oh, and I did NOT see any leeches, king cobras or wild boars. What a let-down!

Pak Cik Zul was such a liar. Hmph.

Oh no.

I'm having the blogger's block or whatever you call it.

Shit. Help me.

Hahhaa. Sorry for wasting your time for coming here hoping earnestly to read something but ending up in total disappoinment because this whole post is just bullshit.

I'll promise to blog when my life appears to be more 'happening'.

And you might be thinking, 'what is the purpose of this whole post then?'

Answer: Just to let you all know I'm still alive and kickin'. Heh.

Excuse me for the lameness. I'm bored stiff.
